How to Login Instagram from Facebook

If you're a social media marketer, small business owner, or just interested in sharing content on social networks, connecting your Instagram and Facebook networks makes sense. You can share content on both and take full advantage of the power of visual content. You can even log in to Instagram through Facebook to save precious seconds. Usually, I do my best to keep the networks separate and not share too much data between them. But when it comes to marketing, that changes. It's all about efficiency and achieving the widest reach with the least effort. Connecting Instagram to Facebook makes it easier to achieve this goal. You can easily share the same content on both platforms with just one click, so it makes perfect sense to do so.

Connect Instagram to Facebook

If you have a Facebook page and an Instagram account, linking the two is easy. You can then share content between the two networks without losing formatting or impact.

1- Open the Instagram app on your phone.

2- Log in to your account, select your profile and then select the Settings menu.

3- Select the Account option and then tap on the Sharing to Other Apps option.

4- Select Facebook and if you are not logged in with your phone, log in with your Facebook account details. Give permission to the app if requested.

5- You will then be asked to set up your account center. Choose your Facebook account or not on your option? Tap (Not you?). To change the account, then select the Continue option.

6- Select the sharing location on Facebook. Tap Continue to finish setting up Account Center.

7- Select the option to start sharing on Facebook (Start Sharing to Facebook).

Return to Accounts Center. Make sure the Share with Facebook option for stories and posts and Logging in with accounts are enabled on both.

Next, Facebook will ask you who will see your posts, you can choose one of the options Friends, Everyone or Nobody. If you plan to use the accounts for marketing, you must select all. If you're just experimenting, keep it for friends. You can always change these permissions later.

You may be asked where you would like to share the content. For example, timeline, business page, or elsewhere. If you are marketing, choose a business page.

If you find that it doesn't work for you and doesn't meet your needs, all you have to do is go back to the Accounts Center menu on Instagram. Select Facebook and select Remove from Accounts Center.

Login to Instagram through Facebook

To log into the Instagram account through the Facebook account, just open the Instagram app on your phone and select the Log In With Facebook option. If you're already signed in to Facebook, you'll automatically be signed in to Instagram. If not, enter your username and password when prompted and select the blue Login button.

If you are setting up a new Instagram account, you can do the same. Install Instagram and select Log In With Facebook as above. It then creates an account and connects it to your Facebook account. The only problem with this is that it will give you a random username and password unless you edit it.

To edit Instagram's default login details, follow these steps:

1- Log in to Instagram using the Facebook login button.

2- Select your profile icon at the bottom right and select Edit Profile.

3- Choose your username and change it to something more personal.

4- Go back to your profile page, tap on the three horizontal lines icon on the top right and then select Settings.

5- Tap on the Account option. Then select Personal Information. Check the email address to make sure it is correct. Tap it to edit.

6- Go back to the settings menu and select the Security option.

7- Select the password option from the list to reset.

You should see a notification that says something like this text, We sent an email to address with a link to reset your password. That email address will be the one you have entered in your account before. That's why I say check the email in step 4, because you need access to it to get the password reset link. Check your email, follow the link and set a unique password for your account. Now your Instagram account is completely yours.

If you wish, you can make these changes through the web. You can use this link to edit your Instagram profile and to request a password reset.

You can still log into your Instagram account through Facebook, but now you've set up your account to access it independently. You can now change your profile picture, add a bio, and change your Instagram account to your liking without affecting your login method.

How to unlink Instagram account

So, you've linked your two accounts, which means you can cross-post your content. But, what do you do when you no longer want the two to be connected?

Whether you're deactivating your Facebook account or just want to separate the two services, you can do so without losing all your posts.

All you have to do is follow the same steps as above, then open Account Center. From there, tap on the linked account option and then select the Remove from Accounts Center option under the Account & Profiles option. Your Facebook profile will still hold your Instagram information until you delete it, and you must delete all of your Instagram posts from Facebook.
